Skateboarding teen killed by car

WEST BAY, N.S. (CP) - A 14-year-old skateboarder is dead after he was hit by a car on a Cape Breton highway. The RCMP say Jeremy Michael Tucker was among four teenagers walking along a highway in West Bay on Friday afternoon. A police news release says the teen skateboarded onto the highway, apparently unaware that a vehicle was passing the group. Jeremy, who was not wearing any safety equipment at the time, ran into the passenger side of the vehicle. He died overnight in hospital. Full Story: hfxnews.ca, published 4/28/07
