Friday, 15 September 2006
Here are some of the "SNAP" shots we promised of Ray Nendze's accordion...no pun there. The blood spots on his arm are from the bones slightly piercing thru the skin. Tasty right?

The Dirty, Evil, and Funny World by Mike Bollen
Saturday, 02 September 2006
"As we got onto rt 23 we saw a sweet ass accident so we made a u- turn to scope it out but it only got us stuck in traffic" - Mike Bollen

Alright so a couple days ago Eric, Kevin and I decided to hit up some spots and we got hungry so since we were by the mall we just went into the food court. Kevin got Wendy’s and Eric got taco bell and Mike B didn’t get anything cause hese poor as hell. Anyway as we were eating we saw a suspicious looking character who just happened to be black and about 6’5. Now he was a big dude. I’m talking Andre the GIANT shit. He walked downstairs and than he walked back upstairs so we decided that it would be a good idea to follow this guy to see what he was up to. We followed him upstairs and we laid low by a bunch of benches. The first store this guy went into was like a 10yr old little girl’s store.

Don Vito From VIVA LA BAM Arrested On Sexual Assault Of Children
Tuesday, 29 August 2006
Yesterday, ABC 7 News out of Denver, Colorado reported that actor Vincent Roy Margera, 50, was formally charged Wednesday with two felony counts of sexual assault on a child.

Margera, the uncle of VIVA LA BAM star Bam Margera, was arrested on August 18 by Lakewood, Colorado police. He was accused of inappropriately fondling or groping 12- and 14-year-old girls during separate incidents at a signing event at Woodward Skatepark at the Colorado Mills Mall in Lakewood, Colorado.

Margera was in Colorado to film promotional material for ManiaTV.com and plays Don Vito in VIVA LA BAM.
Team Update: Ray Nendze...Oh Snap!
Thursday, 17 August 2006
We've got some bad news for all of you. Like Logan Minick, Ray Nendze broke his arm. Ray was at Drop In Skatepark yesterday trying to Switch frontside 180 ollie into a bank. Well, he slipped out and put his arm down. His shit folded up underneath his ass like an accordion. Bones were sticking out of his forearm and he was bleeding all over the place like a horror movie. I kid you not. He took it well. Ray stood up, walked into the skateshop at Drop In, and calmly told Darrel the owner that he had broken his arm and needed medical attention. The cops / ambulance arrived and Mr. Nendze was transported to the nearest hospital. Luckily, Ray did not have to go into surgery. With some awesome drugs and several shots of whiskey, Ray allowed them to painfully set his arm into place, put a cast on, and discharge him. Discharge...Mikey B loves that word. Anyways, We all hope Ray has a speedy recovery, which I'm sure he will. Pictures will be posted up shortly.
Chad Muska washed up?
Monday, 31 July 2006

Click the picture to see video

Pro skater and DJ Chad Muska ran into a problem with the bouncers at Hyde last night.

Turns out Chad had been escorted out of the club for being drunk. Chad's friend brought him his backpack while Chad waited outside. When the friend forgot to bring him his needles for the record player Chad attempted to re-enter the club. That's when the bouncer picked Chad up like a sack of potatoes and a scuffle ensued.

The police showed up and Chad insisted he didn't know why the bouncer assaulted him, while the bouncer insisted Chad assaulted him first.
How To Make a Kid Cry by Mike Bollen
Monday, 24 July 2006
"I saw like 8 little kids fighting over this one Riot skateboard deck. They looked like a bunch of lions feeding on a dead zebra." - Mike Bollen

Alright so many Fridays ago, which was 6/23/06, a demo took place at Drop In Skatepark. You can check out there park at www.dropinskate.com. Anyway, the skate demo consisted of Riot skateboards, Stimulus skateboards, and Emactive. Representing Emactive was Kevin Tlusty, Ray Ray, and myself. Eric and his friend Brandon drove us there and supported the event by handing out stickers and putting shirts in the shop and Eric filmed the event. If you want to get your hands on an Emactive t-shirt hit up Drop In and check out the shop.

I guess the demo was about an hour or so long and it went really really well. Everyone from Riot Skateboards and Stimulus Skateboards were rippin the shit out of the park. June Espinol who works at Drop In Skatepark put on a hell of a show. He threw down all kinds of nasty tricks on the hip like nollie backside 180 heelflips and 360 flips and he threw a krook down on the rail. I saw some dude from Riot Skateboards do a blunt slide down the rail and a kickflip noslide down the rail. There were some sick kids there. Kevin T threw down that nite. No joke this kid ripped.

Up and Coming: Western Edition
Friday, 30 June 2006
Western Edition is a San Francisco based skateboard company that has been in operation since 1999.  The name is derived from the neighborhood "western addition" which was deemed the harlem of the west in the forties.
Unfortunately shortly after its cultural rise came urban renewal, a project that called the neighborhood a slum and evicted residents to rebuild.

We see a parrelel between that and San Francisco skateboarding's rise andattempted destruction, by the same system in the city.  We aim to keep the flame of San Francisco skateboarding and its influence burning brightly at home and across the globe.

The current team consists of pros Brad Johnson, Pat Washington, Nikhil Thayer, and Japan based Koichi "Zizow" Kitamura.  The ams are new riders, John Igei, Kellen James, and the Vancouver based Leks Baris.

For more information, video clips, and flics, check www.westernedition.tv
